And the Winner Is...

During the Chavez reelections of 2012, I was in Caracas visiting friends. PowToons had just entered the tech scene. I worked on this recruiting video to show my students in Venezuela how to use PowToons. The amazing thing is I pulled off quite a feat by using the first take of the voice over!

Little did I know that ISS would introduce a recruiting video contest a month later. The prize was $500 and the placement of the winning video on the home page of the ISS Fairs for 2012-2013. 

I got a call Christmas eve telling me I had won first prize. I had a few minutes of fame at the February ISS Fair in San Francisco. I'll never know whether my video had anything to do with landing my job in Switzerland. I don't think the headmaster even saw it! Oh well. It was fun, educational, and a whirlwind experience after posting this video to youtube.
